Lisa Schwarze was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. In the late 1980s, she attended Madison Business College to become a court reporter. Following graduation with honors, she worked in the Madison area as a freelance court reporter. In 1998, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. In 2005, Lisa moved to Lexington, Kentucky with her husband, who joined the University of Kentucky's Markey Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor. She is the owner and founder of Sworn Testimony, PLLC.

Lisa is a member of the National Court Reporters Association and the Kentucky Court Reporters Association. Lisa has earned the designations of Registered Professional Reporter and Kentucky Certified Court Reporter. Lisa also contributes her expertise to the deaf and hard of hearing community by providing Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART).

Lisa’s business occupies a major portion of her free time, but in her spare time she enjoys her friends, birdwatching, reading, quilting, and gardening. During the summer, she spends her free time at Applebee’s Park watching the Lexington Legends.
